How do I register to play?
Registration is available through our website. Each event will have its own registration and will be advertised on our social media accounts.
When & Where do we play?
We play at Mohawk 4 Ice Centre (710 Mountain Brow Blvd, Hamilton, ON L8T 5A9) League games are held on Saturday's between 2:30-4:30pm.
The arena is fully equipped with spectator seating at rink level, a restaurant & bar and free parking
How much does it cost?
Costs will vary depending on the event. The cost helps to cover ice and insurance fees. We always aim to keep costs as low as possible.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds as the cost helps to pay for the ice rental & insurance which happens ahead of game time.
We understand that extenuating circumstances can arise and may be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
What is the change-room situation like?
Our change-rooms are completely gender neutral as we are here to play hockey and be inclusive of all genders. We aim to eliminate the gender biases that come with most sports.
However - if you feel uncomfortable, please let us know in advance so alternative arrangements can be made.
What is the skill level required to play?
All skill levels are welcome to play! We encourage you to come out even if you are brand new.
We have players of all skill levels and are committed to maintaining a safe space to learn to play.
What equipment do I need?
We require players to have full gear in order to be safe while playing. A full list can be found on our Instagram also.
If you do not have gear or are missing a piece of equipment, we have a Loaner Locker with available equipment for you to use.
It operates on a first come first serve basis, so please reach out to us in advance if you are looking to borrow.
We strongly recommend looking into used equipment from Facebook marketplace, or local used stores such as Second Chance Sports, or Play It Again Sports.
Are there refs?
Shinny events do not usually have referees. As each event is different, there may be referees. League games or tournaments will have referees.
Do we have practices or skill sessions?
We do! Keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook page for announcements of these.
They will also be announced on our website.
