Who We Are

Queer Hockey Hamilton (QHH) is a queer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to creating inclusive hockey opportunities for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and allies in Hamilton and surrounding communities.

Founded in 2023 by a group of queer hockey players, QHH was created with a simple vision:

To build a hockey community where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued.

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of hockey, regardless of identity, background, experience level, or ability.

Why We Exist

Hockey has the power to bring people together, but barriers within sports culture have prevented many people from feeling like they belong.

For too long, some players have experienced exclusion, discrimination, or discomfort within hockey environments.

QHH exists to help change that.

We are committed to creating a positive hockey culture where respect, inclusion, and community are at the centre of everything we do.

Through our programs, policies, and community initiatives, we are working toward a future where everyone feels they have a place in hockey.
